Selasa, 17 Oktober 2023, Mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum UPN Veteran Jakarta melakukan kunjungan perusahaan/ company visit ke PT. Prudential Indonesia. Company Visit ini merupakan salah satu program kerja dari Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) Fakultas Hukum UPN Veteran Jakarta, khususnya Departemen Pengembangan Karier Bidang Akademik dan Profesi Hukum. Kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh sejumlah 47 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari mahasiswa Angkatan 2020, 2021, dan 2022.
PT. Prudential Indonesia menjadi tujuan company visit untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada mahasiswa terkait industry asuransi. Meliputi pentingnya asuransi untuk pribadi, perlindungan nasabah asuransi, serta mengenai persiapan mahasiswa untuk dapat bekerja dalam ruang lingkup perusahaan asuransi.
Acara dimulai pukul 13.00 WIB oleh MC dari PT. Prudential Indonesia, dilanjutkan dengan sambutan-sambutan. Diantaranya sambutan dari pihak PT. Prudential Indonesia yang diwakili oleh Januaria Trivani, dalam sambutannya beliau menyampaikan selamat datang untuk para mahasiswa dan berharap kerja sama yang terjalin dapat berlangsung lama. Dilanjutkan dengan laporan dari project officer kegiatan company visit, sambutan dari ketua BEM Fakultas Hukum, dan dibuka oleh sambutan dari perwakilan Dekanat Fakultas Hukum UPN Veteran Jakarta yang diwakili oleh Dosen Fakultas Hukum, Dr. Muthia Sakti, SH, MH.
Sebelum memulai materi, peserta disajikan video profil perusahaan yang menunjukkan suasana bekerja di PT. Prundential Indonesia dan menggambarkan sedikit mengenai produk layanan yang disediakan oleh perusahaan asuransi yang telah berusia 175 tahun tersebut.
Pemaparan pertama yaitu berkaitan dengan literasi asuransi disampaikan oleh Dewi Mayasari selaku Internal Stakeholder & Consumer Communication. Dalam materi ini peserta disajikan mengenai pentingnya asuransi dan kemungkinan resiko dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Setelah pemaparan, disediakan pertanyaan kuis untuk peserta dan tersedia hadiah bagi 3 orang pada setiap sesi.
Pemaparan kedua berkaitan dengan Start your career in Prudential, Januaria Trivani selaku Talent Acquisition yang menjelaskan mengenai cara berkarir di PT Prudential Indonesia. Dijelaskan bahwa dapat melakukan internship bagi mahasiswa last year ataupun fresh graduate. Namun tidak menutup kemungkinan dapat menjadi pegawai tetap apabila penilaian selama intership dinyatakan bagus dan dapat menyelesaikan project dengan baik.

Materi ketiga, yaitu dari akademisi yang dilakukan oleh Dosen Fakultas Hukum, Dr. Muthia Sakti, SH, MH. dengan materi “Perlindungan Hukum Positif terhadap Pemegang Polis, Asuransi Deposito dan Usaha Perasuransian”. Materi yang disampaikan relevan dengan mata kuliah yang diampu, yaitu Hukum Dagang. Beliau menyampaikan bahwa asuransi merupakan sesuatu kegiatan yang berdasarkan pada perjanjian. Asuransi selain mengacu pada Undang-Undang, juga mengacu pada ketentuan dalam Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Dagang.

Materi terakhir, disampaikan oleh Gusnandi Arief Haliadi selaku Manager Legal dengan membahas mengenai perlindungan terhadap pemegang polis. Nandi menyampaikan mengenai ketentuan yang ada di Prudential terkait dengan perjanjian awal, hingga sharing pengalaman terkait dengan kemungkinan dan cara mengantisipasi adanya fraud yang dapat dilakukan oleh pemegang polis yang mungkin dapat merugikan perusahaan asuransi.
Setelah sesi materi, peserta diajak untuk melakukan office tour, di bagi menjadi 3 kelompok dan mengunjungi beberapa ruang perkantoran untuk mengetahui bagaimana suasana bekerja di Prudential secara langsung.
