Pada hari Rabu, 18 Oktober 2023, Tim Dosen Bagian Hukum Tata Negara-Hukum Administrasi Negara melaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang ditujukan ke siswa-siswi SMA Negeri 34 Jakarta dengan mengangkat tema besar “PENINGKATAN KESADARAN BELA NEGARA BAGI PELAJAR SMAN 34 JAKARTA.

Prof. Dr. Wicipto Setiadi, S.H., M.H. Guru Besar FH UPNVJ

Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini diawali dari Prof. Dr. Wicipto Setiadi, S.H., M.H. Guru Besar FH UPN “Veteran” Jakarta yang memberikan sambutannya di pelaksanaan acara Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Bagian HTN-HAN di SMA Negeri 34 Jakarta. Tim Dosen Bagian HTN-HAN mempunyai kewajiban dan dorongan untuk mengajak semua pihak dalam mengejawantahkan nilai-nilai bela negara. Bela negara bukan hanya dimaknai sebagai tindakan berperang, tetapi juga bisa diimplementasikan dengan hal-hal yang kecil dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Selain itu, Prof. Wicipto juga mengatakan bahwa pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini menjadi suatu penghargaan bagi FH UPN “Veteran” Jakarta karena dapat menjadi saluran untuk menyalurkan ilmu serta pengalaman para Dosen kepada siswa-siswi SMAN 34 Jakarta.
Wakil Kepala Sekolah SMAN 34 Jakarta menyampaikan, bahwa paparan dari narasumber nantinya dapat menghasilkan pemahaman tentang implementasi nilai-nilai bela negara bagi siswa/i SMA Negeri 34 Jakarta.

Gilang Abi Zaifa Mahasiswa FH UPNVJ

Gilang Abi Zaifa (Mahasiswa) memberikan materi mengenai kesadaran pemilih pemula dengan menyatakan bahwa pemilihan umum menjadi ajang baru bagi pemilih pemula yang ditujukan kepada Siswa/i SMA Negeri 34 Jakarta. Selain itu, Gilang menambahkan mengenai syarat-syarat untuk menjadi pemilih kepada para siswa/i, agar siswa/i menjadi pemilih yg cerdas dan paham atas pemilihan umum serentak tahun 2024 karena mereka rata-rata berumur ±17 Tahun.

Ali Imran Nasution, S.H., M.H. Dosen FH UPN "Veteran" Jakarta

Acara dilanjutkan dengan paparan dari Ali Imran Nasution, S.H., M.H. Dosen FH UPN “Veteran” Jakarta yang menyampaikan tentang hak dan kewajiban pelajar yang dijamin oleh konstitusi. Sebagai warga negara yang baik, siswa/i SMA Negeri 34 Jakarta sebaiknya menjalankan hak dan kewajibannya yang dilindungi oleh UUD NRI Tahun 1945 sebagai norma dasar dalam berbangsa dan bernegara. Penjaminan hak pelajar juga dijamin oleh konstitusi dalam Pasal 28I ayat (1) UUD NRI Tahun 1945 termasuk hak untuk hidup dan hak untuk tidak disiksa. Siswa-siswi berhak untuk mendapatkan hak konstitusionalnya yang termasuk di dalamnya adalah hak asasi manusia. Ali Imran Nasution, S.H., M.H. menambahkan bahwa siswa juga harus turut andil di dalam menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif dan bebas dari tindakan perundungan.

Isu kesetaraan gender juga menjadi hal yang marak terjadi di lingkungan SMA. Ali Imran Nasution, S.H., M.H. juga menyatakan bahwa perempuan dan lelaki memiliki kodrat dan fisik yang berbeda. Namun dalam persoalan hak tidak boleh dibedakan karena kaitannya dengan hak asasi manusia yang tidak dibatasi oleh jenis kelamin, suku, ras, agama maupun antar golongan. Tema yang disampaikan oleh 2 (dua) Pemateri tersebut erat kaitannya dengan poin kedua nilai dasar bela negara yakni Kesadaran Berbangsa dan Bernegara.
