Kamis, 27 Juli 2023 – Bertempat di Auditorium Bhineka Tunggal Ika Gedung Rektorat UPN “Veteran” Jakarta. National Conference on Law Studies (NCOLS) ke-5 di Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) menjadi semakin istimewa dengan kehadiran Ketua Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat Republik Indonesia (MPR RI), Dr. H. Bambang Soesatyo, S.E, M.B.A. Acara ini berhasil menyedot perhatian dengan 113 naskah artikel dari para pemakalah dan peserta dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Selain itu, pidato inspiratif dari Bambang Soesatyo, yang juga merupakan salah satu tokoh pemerintahan yang berpengaruh di Indonesia, menjadi sorotan utama dalam acara tersebut.
Tema seminar yang diangkat pada acara ini adalah “Partisipasi Masyarakat dalam Mewujudkan Negara Hukum Kesejahteraan (Welfare State) Indonesia”. Acara dibuka dengan pidato dari Dr. Anter Venus, MA.Comm. selaku Rektor UPNVJ. Selain Bambang Soesatyo, beberapa pembicara hebat juga hadir untuk berbicara dalam acara ini, termasuk Prof. Dr. Bambang Waluyo, S.H., M.H., dan Prof. Dr. Wicipto Setiadi, S.H., M.H., sebagai Guru Besar Fakultas Hukum UPNVJ, serta Prof. Dr. Rahayu Hartini, S.H., M.Si., M.Hum., Guru Besar Hukum Bisnis Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, dan Dr. Narendra Jatna, S.H., LLM., Kepala Kejaksaan Tinggi Bali.
Dalam pidatonya, Bambang Soesatyo menyampaikan pandangannya tentang tema seminar, “Partisipasi Masyarakat dalam Mewujudkan Negara Hukum Kesejahteraan (Welfare State) Indonesia”. Ia menyoroti pentingnya peran masyarakat dalam membangun sebuah negara kesejahteraan yang berlandaskan pada keadilan sosial bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia. Menurutnya, mewujudkan negara kesejahteraan bukanlah perkara yang mudah, dan dibutuhkan kerja keras serta partisipasi aktif dari seluruh elemen masyarakat.
Bambang Soesatyo juga menggarisbawahi bahwa penegakan hukum harus menjadi tanggung jawab bersama, bukan hanya tugas aparat pemerintahan. Ia mengajak masyarakat untuk lebih aktif dan terlibat dalam proses peradilan untuk mencapai keadilan yang lebih inklusif. Dalam konteks ini, Bambang Soesatyo menekankan pentingnya konsistensi dalam menjalankan Undang-Undang Dasar (UUD) dan mengedepankan aspek keadilan sosial.
Dengan kehadiran Bambang Soesatyo sebagai Ketua MPR RI dalam acara NCOLS ke-5 ini, peserta seminar dan seluruh civitas akademika UPNVJ mendapatkan kesempatan langka untuk mendengarkan gagasan dan pandangan dari seorang tokoh negara yang memiliki pengalaman dan pengaruh yang signifikan. Kehadiran beliau di acara ini memberikan inspirasi dan semangat baru dalam menerapkan nilai-nilai keadilan dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam dunia hukum.
Diharapkan melalui acara ini, semangat partisipasi masyarakat dalam membangun negara kesejahteraan semakin tumbuh dan berkembang, serta kontribusi aktif dari berbagai pihak dapat menghadirkan perubahan positif bagi Indonesia menuju masa depan yang lebih cerah.
