Pada Rabu 12 Juli 2023 bertempat di ruang rapat lt. 2 FH UPN “Veteran” Jakarta dilaksanakannya Audiensi  Penyerahan Piala juara 3 Tim UPS dalam Ajang NMCC Hotma Sitompoel Trophy 2023 Kepada FH UPNVJ dan dihadiri langsung oleh Dekan Dr. Suherman, S.H., LL.M., Guru Besar Prof. Dr. Wicipto Setiadi, S.H., M.H. Wadek Bidang Akademik Dr. Beniharmoni Harefa S.H., LL.M, Wadek Bidang Umum dan Keuangan Taupiqqurrahman, S.H.,M.KN.,  Koordinator Prodi S1  Abdul Kholiq, S.H., M.H., Dosen Pembimbing UPS Dr. Heru Sugiyono, S.H., M.H. serta Anggota Tim UPS. Dekan Fakultas Hukum membuka acara ini dengan menyampaikan rasa bangga dan terimakasih kepada Tim UPS yang sudah memberikan kontribusi prestasi tingkat nasional, beliau juga menyampaikan harapan kepada Tim UPS untuk dapat merekrut lebih banyak lagi SDM untuk menjadi bagian dari Tim UPS sehingga UPS nantinya bisa lebih banyak mengikuti kompetisi – kompetisi lain setiap tahunnya.

Kemudian Prof. Dr. Wicipto Setiadi, S.H., M.H. menyampaikan siap menjadi pembina serta memberikan saran bagi tim UPS untuk membentuk sub-tim dari pidana, perdata, hingga Hukum Tata Negara untuk mengikuti berbagai lomba yang ada, UPS tugasnya cukup berat tapi menjadi tidak berat sekali jika dikerjakan bersama-sama untuk dapat mencapai capaian akreditasi FH  untuk Universitas , ditengah minimnya fasilitas yg disediakan oleh institusi , tetapi anda semua sudah memperoleh hasil yang luar biasa sangat membanggakan , akan sangat membanggakan lagi ketika capaian prestasi ini terus lebih baik lagi. Prestasi ini juga tidak lepas dari bimbingan Dr. Heru Sugiyono, S.H., M.H. sebagai pembimbing ini adalah suatu dedikasi yang luar biasa, tim kita akan memperoleh hasil yang baik kalau kita bersama-sama untuk mencapai capaian-capaian yang membanggakan.

Dr. Heru Sugiyono, S.H., M.H. mengungkapkan berbagai kendala yang dihadapi Tim UPS, memang setiap periode dilakukan open recruitment untuk mahasiswa semester 2 sampai dengan 4 namun dalam pelaksanaannya banyak yang berhenti mengikuti organisasi ini karena dalam mengikuti kompetisi tim UPS ini harus bekerja keras bahkan harus pulang malam sampai menginap, hal ini banyak menyebabkan orang tua keberatan dengan kegiatan yang tim UPS ikuti. Beliau juga merespon mengenai harapan Dekan untuk Tim UPS banyak mengikuti Kompetisi setiap tahunnya beliau menyampaikan bahwa pemberkasan itu melalui proses yang cukup panjang bisa 4 sampai dengan 5 bulan, baru setelah itu bisa dilakukan seleksi siapa yang bertugas mengikuti kompetisi-kompetisi yang akan diikuti, beliau juga mengungkapkan gambaran alur kompetisi NMCC Hotma Sitompoel Trophy 2023 yang diikuti Tim UPS. Selanjutnya Ketua Tim UPS Terra Whisnu Murti menyampaikan gelar yang diraih Tim UPS  dipersembahkan untuk FH UPN “Veteran Jakarta Semoga hal ini dapat membantu UPNVJ dalam penilaian akreditasi. Whisnu juga mengucapkan terimakasih kepada fakultas dan univeristas terutama kepada Dr. Heru Sugiyono, S.H., M.H. sebagai pembimbing UPS yang sudah sangat berperan membantu dan membimbing kami. Selanjutnya kegiatan ini ditutup dengan penyerahan Piala juara 3 UPS Dalam Ajang NMCC Hotma Sitompoel Trophy 2023 kepada Fakultas Hukum UPNVJ.
