Muhammad Arafah Sinjar was born in Salaonro Cabbenge Village, Lilirilau District, Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi, on July 02, 1954. Had attended the undergraduate level of education Fak Ushuluddin IAIN Yogyakarta 1981. Bachelor of Western Philosophy Faculty Gajah Mada University Yogyakarta 1986, Master (M. Hum) in the department of Western Philosophy University of Indonesia Jakarta (2000), and doctoral program at the State Islamic University Jakarta (2010).
